I Thought I Knew Orange County. Then I Actually Moved Here.
I grew up making summer trips to Huntington Beach and Corona Del Mar — like a lot of Southern Californians, those were my reference points for what Orange County was. I thought I knew the area.
Then I moved here in 2011 and got into real estate in 2012, and everything changed. When you spend 14 years helping people buy homes across every corner of South Orange County, you stop seeing it like a visitor and start seeing it like a local. You learn which street in San Clemente has the best sunset view, which Talega neighborhood is walking distance to the best trails, which parts of Dana Point feel like a small coastal town and which feel like a resort. You find the hidden coastal access points, the underrated parks, the neighborhoods that don't show up in any relocation guide but are remarkable to actually live in.
My first year in real estate was a trial by fire — the first open house I held got 39 offers. That environment taught me fast how to write offers that win and negotiate in a market that doesn't slow down for anyone.
Fourteen years later, South Orange County isn't just where I work. It's the place I genuinely know — neighborhood by neighborhood, street by street. When you're trying to figure out which city is right for your family from 1,000 miles away, that's the kind of agent you want in your corner.
